Network Engineer

Length : 1 year contract (Possible Extension or Permanent Conversion)

Shift : Monday- Friday Core Hours

Location : 4 days onsite, 1 day remote in San Antonio, TX or Remote

Compensation : $60+/hr.

The Project is a high-profile initiative that has already saved the company $10 million in its first region rollout. This project focuses on building out Local Area Networks (LAN) to integrate new devices and ensure seamless communication. This is likely to be a longer-term project requiring sharp and skilled individuals.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated mid-level Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network engineering and be capable of managing and optimizing our network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Configure and install various Cisco network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
• Collaborate with network architects on network optimization
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 3-5 minimum years of experience in network engineering
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and Cisco network hardware
• Experience with network security practices and procedures
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus
