Job Description

A Food & Beverage (F&B) Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant or bar floor, ensuring smooth service delivery, maintaining high standards of quality, managing staff, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and coordinating with kitchen staff to deliver a positive dining experience, all while adhering to health and safety regulations and maximizing profitability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
    • Supervise and train F&B staff including servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts on proper service standards, menu knowledge, and company policies. . 
    • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues promptly. 
  • Guest Service:
    • Greet guests warmly and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience. 
    • Address customer concerns and complaints professionally, finding solutions to maintain satisfaction. 
    • Manage table rotations and seating arrangements to optimize efficiency. 
    • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service. 
  • Operational Management:
    • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency. 
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling, hygiene, and sanitation 
    • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate billing 
    • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefs to communicate important information 
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food service and communication of special requests 
    • Maintain open communication with restaurant management regarding any operational issues or guest feedback 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff 
  • Strong leadership abilities to motivate and manage a team 
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining quality standards 
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette 
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry preferred
