The Portfolio Analyst will work directly with the investment team and operations team to support daily portfolio management and trading functions. The analyst will be responsible for executing advisor trade requests for clients, helping to implement portfolio changes across client accounts, and assisting in other ad-hoc projects such as preparing & analyzing data for presentations or internal use. Relocation to Cleveland, Ohio would be required.
Responsibilities
- Daily trading in client accounts (rebalancing accounts, block trades, tax loss harvesting and manager changes)
- Maintain trading/rebalancing software (Black Diamond) and follow/improve upon trading policies
- Maintain account compliance by running weekly firm-wide queries such as cash to trade /raise, model deviation reports, non-core holdings, and bonds coming due
- Assist advisors with service and support functions such as portfolio analysis, performance reporting and client/prospect meeting preparation
- Participating on firm-wide committees and projects
- Work directly with portfolio managers to assist in HNW portfolio management and trading
- Prepare and file necessary paperwork as requested for alternative investment subscriptions
- Perform monthly reviews of client assets across custom-managed accounts, grouping investments into appropriate categories to allow asset allocation reviews across households
- Responsible for monitoring client directed positions that are locked or excluded
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business preferred. On CFA track a plus
- 1-4 years of relevant professional experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
- Strong proficiency in technology/applications is preferred, including Excel capabilities
- Experience with a trading/rebalancing platform like Orion, Black Diamond, or similar a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to multi-task multiple high-priority responsibilities at once
