Overview:
The Perioperative Cardiothoracic-Vascular procedures Service Line Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic-vascular procedures. This position educates, and trains the team members associated with the designated specialty to include the nurses and surgical technologists. Assists in maintenance of service line equipment, instruments and supplies by working closely with the leaders in those areas. Functions as a value analysis liaison between the surgeons and the materials management facilitator. The Perioperative cardiothoracic-vascular procedures Service Line Coordinator will engage in quality improvement initiatives as deemed appropriate by the leadership team. Coordination of the daily surgical schedule (Charge Nurse) will be assigned as needed. May also be assigned to other procedures when designated service line volumes are low.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor?s degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Required Licensure/Certifications:
-Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
-BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
-Effective July 1, 2018 all new hires or transfers must obtain/maintain Certified Nurse Operating
Room (CNOR) certification within three years (3) years of hire or transfer. Existing employees are required to obtain the CNOR certification by December 31, 2018.
