About the Role

The Company, a privately held footwear company known for its diverse shoe collections, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be a strategic business partner to the owners, participating in the creation, implementation, and execution of key value creation strategies and initiatives. As a key member of the executive team, the VP of Finance will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the organization's fiscal function and performance, ensuring compliance with GAAP and legal and regulatory requirements. This role includes overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, budget creation and monitoring, financial planning, tax management, and risk management.Applicants must have a CPA or Master's degree in a business, financial, or related field, or equivalent work experience, with a preferred background in wholesale fashion and/or footwear. A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing an accounting function in a medium or large-size company, and 5 to 7 years of progressively increasing responsibility in financial management, is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards. Experience in organizational effectiveness, operations management, and a proven track record of growing a business are also essential. The role demands a leader with a vision, strong staff management skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
