Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Gainesville, FL

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team in Gainesville, Florida . This is a 13 -week travel contract position offering guaranteed hours . This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with hospital pharmacy experience who are looking to contribute to a high-quality, patient-centered healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients.
  • Process medication orders and verify patient information.
  • Ensure medications are stored properly and follow safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records related to prescriptions and medications.
  • Work closely with the medical team to ensure patients receive optimal care.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking medications.
  • Provide medication counseling and education to patients as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including infection control and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Must have prior hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of pharmacy practices, medication safety, and patient care techniques.
  • Certifications: Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent) required.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
