Job Summary:

Black Owl Recruiting is seeking a dedicated and skilled Neurologist to join a multi-specialty clinical team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological disorders while collaborating with other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. This role requires a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Conduct thorough neurological evaluations, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of neurological conditions, such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and neuropathies.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including pharmacological interventions, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to other specialists when necessary.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress.

Collaborative Care:

  • Work closely with a team of specialists, including internists, surgeons, oncologists, and rehabilitation therapists, to provide integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary case discussions and care coordination meetings to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Share expertise and collaborate with colleagues to manage complex cases and develop comprehensive treatment strategies.

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EEGs, MRIs, CT scans, and lumbar punctures, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Utilize advanced neurological diagnostic tools and technologies to enhance patient assessment and management.

Patient and Family Communication:

  • Effectively communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis to patients and their families, ensuring they are informed and involved in care decisions.
  • Provide education on neurological conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures to promote patient understanding and engagement.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and diagnostic results, in accordance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuing medical education, research, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the academic and research missions of the institution, including participating in clinical trials and publishing research findings.

Quality Improvement:

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
  • Participate in peer reviews and contribute to departmental and institutional quality assurance programs.


Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification in Neurology (or eligibility).
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of neurology (preferred but not required).
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within a multi-specialty team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proficient in using advanced neurological diagnostic tools and technologies.
  • Licensure:
  • Valid state medical license (or eligibility for licensure) and board certification/eligibility.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and a collaborative approach to multi-specialty care.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Pay: $200 / hour
