Job Title: Business Development Manager – Domestic Sales (FTL)

Location: Chicago, US (Hybrid/Office based available)


Overview:

As a Business Development Executive specializing in FTL Sales , you will be responsible for driving new business, building relationships with key clients, and promoting full truckload transportation solutions. You will leverage your expertise in the transportation and logistics industry to develop and execute sales strategies aimed at securing new FTL contracts and growing existing accounts.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Prospect & Generate Leads : Identify and target new business opportunities in the FTL space, generating leads and converting them into profitable sales.
  • Client Relationship Management : Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored FTL solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Development : Create and execute sales strategies that position FTL services as the best option for customers, ensuring growth in revenue.
  • Negotiation & Closing : Lead the negotiation and closing of contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, terms, and service delivery to clients.
  • Market Research : Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry regulations to effectively position offerings.
  • Collaborate : Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of FTL services and excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve Targets : Meet and exceed sales quotas and targets, driving revenue and contributing to the company’s overall success.


Required Qualifications :

  • Proven Experience in FTL sales within the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Strong Knowledge of the transportation sector, particularly Full Truckload (FTL) services, including pricing, carriers, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent Sales Skills , including lead generation, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing deals.
  • Ability to Work Independently and manage multiple client accounts while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong Communication Skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to present solutions clearly to clients at all levels.
