Our client specializes in ground-up projects across Medical, Religious, Entertainment, and Retail sectors , as well as smaller interior projects . They are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Estimator to join their team and contribute to their diverse portfolio of exciting projects.

The Role

As a Commercial Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of the preconstruction process, developing accurate and competitive bids for projects ranging from large-scale ground-up developments to smaller interior fit-outs. You’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that every project begins with a solid financial plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project documents, including blueprints and specifications, to create detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns for ground-up and interior projects.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
• Develop and maintain an organized database of costs, pricing, and subcontractor contacts.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
• Work closely with clients to clarify project requirements and address any preconstruction concerns.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial Estimator, ideally on ground-up projects in Medical, Religious, Entertainment, or Retail sectors.
• Proven ability to estimate both large-scale and smaller interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Must be based in the San Antonio area (applications from relocators or candidates with residential/multi-family experience will not be considered).
