A cutting-edge single-family office along with its related managed companies with diverse interests including technology, finance, entertainment, public and private real estate and healthcare is seeking to add to their legal team by hiring a Senior Counsel. The general counsel is seeking a transactional lawyer to structure and negotiate deals, handle on contract drafting and directly advise business leadership.

Responsibilities of the Senior Counsel

• Provide strategic legal support for business and real estate transactions, corporate structures, compliance, and internal operations.
• Offer practical legal advice and act as a trusted advisor.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and documents.
• Manage and coordinate with outside counsel, and support litigation and disputes.
• Structure and negotiate transactions for the family office and related entities.
• Support employment matters, including policy development and risk management.
• Provide project management support for significant real estate or asset acquisitions.
• Stay updated on new laws and policy developments affecting the company.
• Provide support on legal matters and issues as needed

Qualifications of the Senior Counsel

• JD and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
• Strong academic credentials
• 2+ years of legal experience, ideally in transactional law
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work as a member of a team with flexibility, efficiency and enthusiasm
• High standards for integrity and ethics
• Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, maturity and the ability to communicate effectively
