Position Summary:

The Onsite Construction Inspector/QA Manager will oversee all construction activities on-site, ensuring that the project meets all quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role includes monitoring the contractor’s materials, workmanship, and equipment, maintaining inspection logs, and overseeing labor and safety provisions. This position is full-time and requires the inspector to be present during all construction activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field quality assurance inspections during the construction phase.
  • Recommend approval or rejection of contractor materials, workmanship, and equipment.
  • Monitor labor and safety provisions, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety requirements.
  • Maintain inspection logs and records, tracking defects and omissions.
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure proper use of construction materials and installation methods.
  • Liaise with construction teams to resolve issues and ensure project success.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of specialized experience in construction inspection and QA.
  • Background in architectural, mechanical engineering, or construction.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and the operation of large commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with P100 requirements, construction practices, and workmanship.
  • Experience with submittals, shop drawings, and interpreting construction specifications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry, including OSHA compliance.
  • HSPD-12 eligibility and ESCO project experience preferred.
  • MEP experience is highly desirable.
