The Role

As a Satellite Operations Software Engineer, you will work with clients to engineer and deploy satellite ground segment solutions based on a state-of-the-art software platform. You'll be responsible for developing software for operational satellite control systems and deploying these solutions within AWS environments. This role offers a rare opportunity to gain a broad understanding of both satellite operations and software engineering, with the potential to expand your expertise across multiple domains.

You will be the key point of contact for clients in the US, collaborating closely with them while being supported by the wider team from headquarters. This is a fantastic chance to be part of an international team, with the opportunity to travel to Europe to integrate and learn more about the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software for satellite control systems and ground segment solutions
• Deploy these solutions into AWS environments
• Work closely with clients to customize and implement solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment
• Provide ongoing support to clients as they adopt and scale the platform

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: At least 3 years as a Ground Segment Software Engineer or in a similar technical role
• Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, Python), with familiarity in others
• Knowledge: Experience with JavaScript and React, and understanding of AWS environments
• Location: US citizen or green card holder, with the ability to travel to Europe for extended periods (several months) to work directly with the core team

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices, particularly CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in architecting ground segment solutions
• Prior experience in client-facing roles, managing relationships and delivering solutions
