summary Transportation Client Services Specialist TTH 1st Shift in Columbus This position will entail working with carriers, scheduling transportation, and coordinating orders. Will support the sales and Supply chain teams throughout the customer order life cycle from order management, customer operations, service and logistics, while also providing support to various Project Management teams. Daily communication with Customers, Sales, and operations. Provide centralized, one point of contact for key customers. Daily review and research pertaining to incomplete shipments for immediate resolution. Daily communication with warehouse & logistics teams to schedule in priority shipments, confirm status of current releases, research on missed ship dates, and escalation to appropriate parties. Responsible for the entry of Purchase orders/Sales orders in Order Management System. Generate daily open order reports internally and to customers as requested. Daily interface with customers regarding new orders, changes to existing orders, cancellation requests, delivery dates, freight forwarders and customer portals. Provide various reports back to customer regarding in house vs. in transit inventory. Prepare any ad hoc reporting by special request from customer and/or Sales Rep required-skills: Must have Skills & Qualifications Experience with carriers, scheduling transportation, and coordinating orders. Experience in transportation. Minimum 5 years customer service experience Minimum 1 year data entry experience Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word Excellent customer service skills Must maintain confidentiality of customer and company information Organized, detail orientated, thorough, and able to handle heavy workloads and deadlines. Ability to perform general office tasks.
