Position : Electrical Apprentices
Location : Hamilton, ON
Shift & Pay:
- Shift : Morning Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Pay Rate : $24 - $30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist a licensed Electrician Journeyperson with electrical installations and repairs.
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, electrical motors, generators, storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Replace or repair faulty electrical equipment and wiring.
- Learn and follow all safety procedures to prevent electrical shocks, falls, and other worksite hazards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to assist in installations and repairs.
- Understand the layout of electrical systems within buildings and other structures.
- Use hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) to perform tasks.
- Operate testing devices to troubleshoot and ensure systems are operating safely and correctly.
- Adhere to these standards while assisting with installations and repairs.
- Diagnose issues with wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment.
- Work with the licensed electrician to find and implement solutions.
- Keep the workspace and tools organized.
- Assist with inventory management and reporting any damaged tools or equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report to the supervising electrician.
- Document inspections, repairs, and installations as needed.
- Attend training sessions to build knowledge in electrical theory and practice.
- Ask questions and seek feedback to continually improve skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Registered as an apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario.
- 442A license required Commercial and Industrial
- Minimum of 6+ months experience as an Electrician.
- Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services provided to our customers.
- Participate pro-actively in the continuous improvement process.
- Experience in electrical engineering environments, particularly in Power & Energy
- Proficiency with control panels, conduits, and cable management hardware is a plus.
- Ability to assist engineers with scheduling, documentation, and technical support is beneficial.
