Job Description

CHS is looking for an enthusiastic Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.


Reporting to the Director of HR, the Learning and Development Specialist will design, develop, and implement company-wide learning initiatives to support employee growth and development that will support our culture of learning. The L&D Specialist has a broad range of experience and knowledge in the field of adult learning.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and cross functional teams to perform needs analyses in support of business objectives.
  • Designing and developing high-impact learning plans, comprised of training objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Managing projects and communication plans at all levels throughout learning projects.
  • Delivering learning programs via live or virtual facilitation.
  • Logistics planning and management of courses/workshops/online learning events.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training by measuring and evaluating feedback from participants on the effectiveness and delivery of learning objectives.
  • Administering the Learning Management System.


KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • An Ideal candidate must have at least 2-3 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development.
  • Have successfully completed of a related degree in Adult Education, Adult Learning Certificate or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Have a proven track record designing, developing, and implementing high impact and innovative company-wide learning programs and initiatives.
  • Experience is grounded in a foundation in adult learning theory, instructional design and learning evaluation.
  • Have practical knowledge and experience with different technologies and software, including learning management systems and authoring tools.
  • Is creative and agile and can design learning experiences that are unique and engaging.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
  • Have strong project management skills and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can strike the right balance between best practice and delivering initiatives quickly.
  • Is passionate about the L&D profession and are up to date on best practices.


TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience working with content authoring tools (Ex. iSpring, Articulate, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Proficient in MS Teams, Office 360 and SharePoint.
