Job Description

Join our client's dynamic team within the retail industry as a Pricing Administrator.

The Pricing Administrator is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of promotions, corporate retail and cost adjustments, price overrides, and the management of major pricing events. This role ensures compliance with Canadian legal requirements, supports the merchandising team with pricing-related analytics, and provides timely resolutions to pricing-related issues.


This role is a 1 year contract, fully onsite and offering $25-30p/hr.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and maintain promotions, ensuring accurate inclusion of all required linked items and completion of necessary template fields.
  • Create and maintain corporate retail and cost changes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct pricing compliance checks for rollbacks and Save Now promotions to meet Canadian legal standards.
  • Provide clear explanations for compliance failures to merchant teams and suggest corrective actions to meet requirements.
  • Manage pricing for major events such as Black Friday and Boxing Week.
  • Perform compliance tests and create event downloads to implement retail changes in stores.
  • Support the creation and auditing of deal funding to ensure successful promotional offers.
  • Analyze and approve multi-save promotions, ensuring meaningful discounts for customers and adherence to business requirements.
  • Pull and consolidate weekly flyer data from marketing applications to create backups for flyer pricing by province.
  • Provide pricing-related reporting and statistics to support the merchandising team.
  • Research pricing-related store complaints, providing clear explanations and actionable resolutions to merchant teams.
  • Assist with researching and resolving multi-save-related store issues in collaboration with the merchant team.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing administration, merchandising, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Canadian retail pricing and legal compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Experience with pricing systems or marketing applications is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
