Piper Maddox are working with an exciting EV Charging startup who are transforming the charging infrastructure landscape and are growing rapidly.

As they enter this next phase of growth they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team, who is an expert in modelling and can work with a range of software modelling tools.

This role will be 5 days a week onsite in the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop and optimize mechanical parts enclosures and assemblies for their EV Charging network
• Perform thermal, vibration and stress analysis of mechanical designs and implement subsequent design revisions and improvements
• Design CAD drawings, mechanical renderings, and other relevant mechanical design content
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing, with focus on high volume manufacturing
• Ensure products meet all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards

Qualifications & Experience ::

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 4+ years experience in a professional Mechanical Engineering role (preferably EV or Energy)
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
• Strong understanding of materials science, heat transfer, and structural mechanics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have ?:

• Experience with Solar Works
• Prior EV Charging or Energy experience
