Job Title : RNG Construction Manager

Location : Denver

Contract: 18 months

Rate: 60-90 per hour + per diem

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced RNG Construction Manager to lead and manage the construction of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects. This role will oversee all construction activities for RNG facilities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will manage a team, coordinate project efforts, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the successful execution of RNG projects. This position requires strong leadership and technical expertise in renewable energy infrastructure construction, as well as experience in managing large-scale energy projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the construction of RNG facilities, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Oversee daily construction operations and coordinate activities between engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all construction work is performed in compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports, ensuring that timelines and cost targets are met.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor progress on-site and provide regular updates to senior management on key project milestones, challenges, and risks.
  • Implement strategies to minimize project risks, delays, and cost overruns.
  • Ensure that all environmental, health, and safety regulations are followed during construction activities.
  • Manage permitting and regulatory approvals required for RNG projects.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and other departments to ensure project designs meet construction and operational requirements.
  • Manage the handover of completed projects to the operations team, ensuring all operational readiness procedures are followed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on energy projects, preferably RNG, gas infrastructure, or renewable energy projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of RNG technologies, gas infrastructure, and energy production systems.
  • Experience with project management software, budgeting, and scheduling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and permitting requirements for RNG facilities.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and suppliers.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in renewable energy projects, specifically RNG or gas infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy policy and regulatory landscapes.
  • Advanced knowledge of energy markets and utility operations.


Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence during the construction phase, and may include travel to various project locations across the region.
