Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Manager to join our team and help modernize our technology environment. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of building strong relationships within a tenured team while managing and improving the organization’s IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and modernize the IT infrastructure, including Meraki firewalls, Dell servers, and outsourced network services.
- Serve as the go-to resource for all IT needs, providing training and support to staff.
- Manage hardware, software, phone systems, and vendor contracts.
- Maintain and update General Ledger and Payroll systems
- Support and troubleshoot EDI systems
- Handle IT budgets, collaborating with leadership for annual planning.
- Lead vendor management efforts and evaluate service providers.
- Administer personnel-related IT functions, including onboarding and training.
- Provide support for programming and legacy systems, including Synnon, RPG, and Query400.
- Collaborate on end-of-year audits and reporting.
- Work closely with the helpdesk specialist to resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Assess and recommend modern tools, including a potential ticketing system for better workflow management.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience with IT infrastructure, vendor management, and budget planning.
- Knowledge of legacy programming languages (RPG, Query400, CL).
- Familiarity with payroll and HR systems is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead modernization initiatives.
- Patience and adaptability to work in a tenured environment.
