SIGIS is currently seeking an IT manager to work in our San Ramon, California location
This is a hybrid role 2 days in the office and 3 days out.
The Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards (SIGIS) is a non-profit, membership corporation, that is responsible for the development and management of an industry standard to meet IRS requirements for operating an inventory information approval system (an "IIAS"). The SIGIS IIAS standards enable a broad range of participants in health benefit payment card transactions to implement consistent systems and processes for transaction processing and data retention. These companies include manufacturers, retailers, acquirer processors, payment card networks, issuer processors, and third-party benefit plan administrators. Based in California, SIGIS provides a range of services to its membership with a focus on standards-based industry solutions to support merchant acceptance of health benefit cards. SIGIS seeks to be a resource to its members on the changing regulatory landscape through communications, educational outreach and Member support programs.
If you have experience as an IT manager or Supervisor with hands on experience in Networking, Desktop support, and AWS cloud while managing a small team deadlines and resources we would like to speak to you!
As an IT Manager you will:
- Oversees technology stack and internal software development managing internal staff and outside vendors.
- Manage corporate website and membership systems custom development teams
- SAP reporting and analytics solutions.
- Amazon Web Services Server infrastructure.
- Desktop, HQ Server and LAN equipment.
- Gather requirements from business users for new functionally and system enhancements.
- Works with technical resources to translate requirements into functional design including use cases, screen design, batch design and database data model promoting the proper use of technology to solve business problems.
- Manages development and unit testing stages resources. Assist with system testing.
- Provides support to production issues (mostly during normal business hours, some after-hours support required).
- Creates effort and delivery date estimates for new functionality. Ensures on budget and on schedule delivery for software enhancements.
- Maintains the overall technology portfolio, recommending new technologies to invest in and older technologies to sunset.
- Develops strong working relationship with internal staff, seen as a business partner.
- Mentors and coaches IT team members.
- SIGIS is a small organization, will be a hands-on position overseeing 1 -2 internal resources and 4 external resource providers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering or information technology
- Minimum 3 years information technology management experience
- Experience leading custom application development teams
- Experience in Networking
- Desktop support
- AWS Cloud experience
- Experience with Firewalls and Switches
- Strong Project Management experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
- Basic knowledge of Hipaa, pci and other security and privacy requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
