Maintenance Planner will develop, monitor and update planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects.
Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day responsibilities may include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and project work
- Develop quality job plans which are accurate and result in efficient work execution. These include necessary drawings, equipment instructions, procedures, material lists, tool and equipment lists.
- Create and update re-usable jobs plans as needed.
- Estimates labor resources, material and service requirements and associated costs.
- Participates in pre-job review meetings with outside service contractors to review job and safety requirements.
- Procurement of maintenance goods, materials and services including initiating requisitions, tracking purchase orders, and goods receipts using computerized system.
- Participate in problem solving activities, including Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Analyze the execution of the job versus the job plan and compares labor and material actual versus estimates.
- New equipment and spare parts inventory analysis, set up, change descriptions and deletion.
- Act as a company job representative for contractors and vendors as needed.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Maintenance Planner Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in a related discipline a plus.
- Five (5) years relevant experience in maintenance planning, preventative maintenance and execution, and Turnaround execution in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing plant equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, vessels, valves etc...)
- Must possess and maintain an In-depth knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance of manufacturing facilities.
- Detailed knowledge of SAP in the areas of plant maintenance and material management
- Demonstrate ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings. Can sketch or redline existing drawings.
- Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes.
- Attention to detail and project/planning focus.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Proven ability to create, maintain data and use reporting features of office software programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
- Self-motivation and independent thinking.
