Quality Manager will be responsible for assuring quality products are produced and distributed through the control of raw materials, production processes and sub-suppliers.
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Process improvement leader for activities and measurement.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning leader.
- Process and product capability, identify and actively support activities to improve key process performance indicators.
- Customer and supplier contact on corrective actions and improvements.
- Directs SPC and quality efforts.
- Supports marketing and sales in customer product problem solving and projects.
- Provides problem solving expertise and 6-sigma project support.
- Ensures that quality system requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001
- Manages internal quality audit program.
- Initiates plant internal/external quality, environmental and safety audits.
- Manage and monitor required testing, including training the hourly workforce for product testing and inspection.
Quality Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical.
- 7-10 years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing organization.
- Significant knowledge of ISO 9001 compliant quality systems, automotive quality requirements, lean tools and Six Sigma (ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Blackbelt is a plus).
- Working knowledge of phenolic chemistry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of technical competencies in the processed of vacuum forming, rheology, drying, knowledge of fuels.
- Experience using Minitab and Access are beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
