Why You’ll Love This Role:

We’re looking for an Automation Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. This role is critical to maintaining high-speed production where every 7 seconds, a board is produced. You will need to solve problems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure continuous system operation.


What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain continuous operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on systems and components.
  • Ensure that robotic and support equipment receive routine preventive maintenance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams for complex automated systems.
  • Collaborate with the automation team to qualify new systems.
  • Train technicians and operators on equipment, processes, and products.
  • Record procedures, results, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Properly use power tools and measuring equipment with a strong focus on safety.

Type of Machinery You'll Work With:

This role does not involve SMT machinery. The focus is on high-speed automation, and problem-solving is essential for keeping operations running smoothly.


What Automation Technicians Need:

  • 70% mechanical focus (hydraulic and mechanical systems).
  • 30% electrical focus (basic PLC logic, sensor functionality, and managing high-current voltage).
  • Basic experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Understanding of motor assembly and pump construction.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associates degree, military training, vocational training, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of automation technologies and techniques.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and practices.
