Our client is an innovative startup at the forefront of cancer research. Their team of scientists, and researchers are a passionate team of people that is looking to grow their team by adding a lab assistant.

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and adaptable individual to support the head scientist and perform light office administrative duties.


Job Description:

The Lab Assistant / Office Assistant will play a pivotal role in keeping our research operations running smoothly. You will support the scientists, manage daily administrative tasks, and help facilitate the smooth flow of the lab. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fact paced environment who is eager to contribute to groundbreaking work in cancer research.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
  • Help scientists with projects as needed in the lab
  • Prepare and organize documents and reports
  • Act as a liaison between the head scientist, team members, and external collaborators.
  • Maintain office systems



  • General Office and Lab Management:
  • Ensure the office environment is organized, stocked, and conducive to efficient work.
  • Help manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., science, healthcare administration, business).
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in an administrative or support role in a scientific or healthcare environment. Biotechnology experience is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for supporting scientific discovery


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a biotech, healthcare, or cancer research-related field.
  • Familiarity with lab environments or research protocols.
