Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in operating and maintaining Siemens Immulite 2000 and Beckman Coulter Access 2 instruments, along with ELISA equipment operation experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations, contributing to accurate patient diagnoses and high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures using Siemens Immulite 200, Beckman Coulter Access 2, and ELISA equipment.
- Ensure accurate handling, labeling, and processing of specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Document all procedures, results, and observations accurately in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting of results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in medical laboratory technology.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating Siemens Immulite 200 and Beckman Coulter Access 2 instruments.
- Experience with ELISA equipment operation and related assays.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and specimen handling.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work as required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments in a research laboratory setting
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols
- Record and analyze data using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Assist in the development and optimization of new laboratory assays
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology)
- Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems for data management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
Experience:
- Clinical laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
