The ASPR Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) program is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Data Entry Specialist to support the Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS). This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of logistics and inventory operations critical to maintaining the nation’s repository of emergency medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Dallas/Irving, TX area and be comfortable traveling up to 20% of the time , including visits to the Atlanta, GA location .
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Entry & Inventory Control
- Accurately input data into the Inventory Management System (IMS) upon receipt or issue of products and equipment.
- Verify and document product details such as descriptions, lot numbers, expiration dates, and National Drug Codes (NDCs).
- Conduct quarterly Quality Assurance and Quality Checks on DSNS assets.
2. Logistics Operations Support
- Maintain operational accuracy of inventory management systems and ensure asset accountability.
- Assist repository managers with programming, system operations, and diagnosing issues.
- Analyze and improve logistics functions to optimize inventory movement, storage, and conditioned asset planning.
- Respond to emergency shipment requests within 90 minutes , as required.
3. Supply Chain & Distribution
- Coordinate expedited and emergency shipments while ensuring adherence to written SOPs.
- Manage the storage and distribution of biological products with varying cold chain requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) teams to resolve supply chain issues related to shipping, receiving, and storage.
4. Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain and develop documentation to support inventory operations and SOPs.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of stored pharmaceutical assets.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of related experience , OR
- 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
Skills & Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong data entry, shipping, and receiving skills.
- Ability to analyze and recommend improvements to logistics operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle and move inventory efficiently in a time-sensitive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within pharmaceutical or medical supply environments .
- Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) .
- Knowledge of large-scale inventory and logistics systems.
