Job Description

As a Floor Host , you will be the dynamic face of hospitality on the office floor, providing seamless support and guidance to our guests, visitors, and clients. Your role is key in creating a welcoming, organized environment, where you will deliver exceptional service and ensure every interaction is efficient and positive. You’ll help connect people to the right resources, anticipate their needs, and solve any problems as they arise, all while fostering a high-touch experience with a focus on hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Floor Host, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a high level of service and supporting office operations. Below are the essential job functions you’ll perform:

  • Meeting Support & Coordination (20% Daily): Ensure that meetings run smoothly by confirming room setups and technical needs (lighting, supplies, AV equipment, temperature) in advance. Greet and assist meeting organizers and guests, ensuring expectations are met.
  • Floor Walkthroughs & Maintenance (10% Daily): Conduct regular floor tours to ensure all spaces are in top condition. Address any maintenance issues and coordinate with the facilities team for quick resolutions.
  • Customer Experience & Support (10% Daily): Provide proactive, real-time assistance to clients and guests by anticipating needs, answering questions, and delivering timely, knowledgeable responses across various channels (email, phone, in person).
  • Hoteling & Space Optimization (10% Daily): Ensure efficient use of meeting rooms and workspaces. Monitor occupancy and reclaim unused spaces as necessary. Advocate for the mobile work culture and help guests secure appropriate workspace.
  • Room Monitoring & Setup (10% Daily): Keep an eye on meeting room usage, ensuring rooms are prepared and reset between sessions. Handle any participant timing issues and adjust reservations accordingly.
  • Equipment Management & Reporting (10% Daily): Ensure additional equipment is properly returned and stored after use. Maintain inventory and report on customer interactions and issues.
  • Policy Adherence (8.5% Daily): Follow company and client policies and safety regulations. Be mindful of policy updates and clarify as needed with management.
  • Training & Development (1.5% Weekly): Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and knowledge to stay current with the latest best practices.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who have a passion for service and a proven ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in a customer service-oriented industry (hotel, restaurant, hospitality, or event planning preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and audio/visual systems.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle tasks with a sense of urgency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable working in an active environment with occasional exposure to physical demands (e.g., bending, lifting, and standing).

Work Environment:

  • Supervision: Minimally supervised.
  • Confidentiality: No access to confidential information or authority over company funds.
  • Equipment: Computer and mobile phone for day-to-day tasks.
