We are hiring a Customer Supply Chain Specialist to support a leading beverage manufacturer located in Preston, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career supply chain professionals to gain experience. In this role, you will contribute to the overall management of operating costs by overseeing the end-to-end order fulfillment process of a regional distribution center.
Pay Rate: $22- $27 per hour
Location: Hybrid- 2 days at home, 3 days in office in Preston, WA
Duration: 3 months, with potential for extension or conversion to a full-time role
Job Duties
- Track inbound product from manufacturing facilities to distribution centers, and outbound product from distribution centers to distributor partners to ensure customer order fulfillment and support KPI targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managed transportation partner, distribution centers, and the sales team designated customer ship-to region.
- Oversee the customer order process, including order creation (order portal, EDI and manual), release, planning and delivery.
- Manage OOS (out of stocks) and the order allocation process, communicating ongoing shortages to our customers and Sales team as necessary.
- Validate and verify lead-time and order status throughout all systems—Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Transportation Management System (TMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Partner with Sales, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure customer demand and performance targets are met.
- Reconcile sales cycle information for end-of-month processes.
- Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate supervisor of any food safety and/or quality issues.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
To be a good fit for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
- Up to one (1) year of Supply Chain experience, ideally in consumer-packaged goods.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Exposure to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Transportation Management System (TMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
- Communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) – effectively communicates clearly and concisely in a way that is easy to understand.
- Demonstrates emotional control and composure under high stress.
