Position: Epic Beaker Director

Overview
Our major Boston-based healthcare client is preparing for their implementation of Epic Beaker and is looking to add a tenured Epic Beaker Project Director to help guide the remainder of the install, execute on project deliverables, and ensure major milestones are being met.
Requirements:
- Experience managing practice management solutions using a dedicated Beaker team
- Epic Beaker project management experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Laboratory IS experience is preferred
- Epic Certification preferred
- Large-scale Epic implementation/upgrades experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Pathology Informatics leadership to ensure project roadmaps are defined and executed on
- Responsible overseeing the build, design, and testing phases
- Responsible for coordination of all work and milestones for applications, systems, and vendor partners to ensure clinic go-live is successful
- Participates in quality work efforts including evaluation, development, implementation, integration and administration of internal and external business solutions.
- Coordinates and assists in user acceptance training and clinical validation
- Facilitate conversations, planning and documentation of Downtime procedures & collaborate with other project PM’s (Forms and Training)
- Project Liaison with Enterprise operational/clinical entities that are dependent on or interact with the laboratory System (Beaker) promoting stakeholder engagement along with lab stakeholders. (Examples, but not limited to Clinical teams, Scheduling, Patient Access, Research, Infectious Disease, Transplant and Administrative Support Teams)
- Collect all documentation to be utilized in Design and Development: workflows, reporting, regulatory requirements and downtime forms
- Lead and mentor members of the team on best practices and solutions throughout the implementation
- Schedule SME participation in design, validation and approval sessions
- Create project documents, materials and presentations
