Title: 1370352 - Training Specialist
Job Description:
- The MasterTech Content Author is responsible for the prioritization, authoring and delivery of technical training information and emerging repair information to Service Technicians that support vehicles through the MasterTech Programs.
- This is a cross-functional, cross-organizational role that will identify, develop, and publish just-in-time information, streamlined resources, and valuable training content for the App.
- In addition, this role is responsible for managing all app notifications, improvements, reporting and communications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare well-structured technical articles using Content Management Systems
- Development of brief reference modules utilizing new and existing training files for mobile formats
- Research and report the acceptance of existing app materials including management of technician feedback
- Coordinate the release of emerging issues with various internal groups including, TSO, STAR and TSRC
- Develop methods for tracking article effectiveness via Fixed First Visit and Warranty data systems
- Assist in the administration and/or coordination of the MasterTech programs and IT projects
- Coordinate global project activities and ensure all project phases are documented appropriately
- Compile project status reports, coordinate app revision project schedules, and manage project meetings/agendas
- Identify and resolve mastertech app technical problems including all Performance Institute Help Desk escalations
- Assist in facilitating vendor meetings, identifying, and analyzing system requirements, and define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with writing technical training material and technical instructions
- Exceptional attention to detail and thorough approach to follow-through on all tasks. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and to work under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
- Solid understanding of service practices, engineering processes, & supplier management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership.
- Experience with navigating OEM service information and wiring diagrams
- Enthusiastic, well organized, & successful at adhering to schedules and raising issues. Ability to work with domestic and international business cultures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with App development and content management systems
- ASE Certifications
- Dealership technician experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
