This role focuses on designing scalable and secure data systems while driving team success and collaboration. This role offers a competitive salary of up to $168,000 depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and Implement Data Architecture:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy using Microsoft Azure.
• Design data models, database schemas, and data warehouses to meet business needs.
• Ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Data Management:

• Oversee data integration, migration, and quality initiatives.
• Implement and manage data governance policies.
• Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and scalability.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.
• Assign tasks, set goals, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Present data architecture plans and updates to executive teams.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure data security and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Implement data privacy measures and access controls.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Certifications:

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer).

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture and management.
• 5+ years in a managerial role.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics).
• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies.
• Experience with data science and enterprise data modeling (e.g., star schemas, data warehouses).

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
