Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Lafayette, CO
Pay: $23/hr - $26.50/hr DOE
Type: Contract to Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a well-known healthcare system to hire a Behavioral Health Technician/Certified Medical Assistant in Lafayette, CO. The role will support clients in their recovery and treatment goals, reporting directly to the Nursing Director.
Job Summary:
Provide direct support to clients in an integrated behavioral health program within a community mental health center.
Essential Functions:
- Manage data entry, tracking, and scheduling to support disease management and a stepped-care approach
- Obtain and record client vital signs, and report client history summary
- Support the Behavioral Health Home care model, working with providers to monitor health and follow-up care
- Provide case management support for wellness services and basic needs
- Dispense medications and maintain Medication Administration Records
- Refer clients for case management support for wellness services and basic needs
- Outreach to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and other healthcare providers
- Verify client financial and demographic information, ensuring accurate entry into the electronic health record
- Perform other duties as assigned (this list is not exhaustive)

Education/Experience/License/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred
- Two (2) years of experience
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Experience in direct client care in a behavioral health, hospital, medical office, residential treatment center, homeless shelter, or other community agency setting
- If CMA: Must possess certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, or another accredited program, with proof of certification
