Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Process Engineer for their client in the Gaffney, SC area. This is a direct hire opportunity that offers benefits and competitive pay. As an integral part of the manufacturing team, the Process Engineer provides technical support and assists with continuous improvement activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective production operations. The Process Engineer recommends improvements to processes through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The ideal Process Engineer would need strong technical abilities and previous textiles machine operation experience in order to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and maintenance for all non-woven processes, trials, and new developments and continuous improvement activities
• Assure conformance with all quality procedures and policies foe handling non-conforming materials, in order in order to maintain customer requirements
• Recommend and implement changes
• Inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul electro-mechanical and electronic equipment using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, and powered and non-powered tools
• Assist with mechanical repairs as needed
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures by all associates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or equivalent course of study
• Five years of experience in process control, preferably in textiles
• Excellent written and oral skills
• May be subject to working around high voltage/in confined spaces/ around heavy machinery
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/sit continuously throughout the day.
