We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal with expertise in construction law and land use matters. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys to support litigation efforts, manage case files, conduct legal research, and assist in the preparation of legal documents. Experience in construction disputes, zoning, permits, and real estate law is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing complex litigation files related to construction disputes, land use issues, and real estate matters.
• Organize and maintain case files, including discovery documents, pleadings, contracts, correspondence, and other case-related materials.
• Track important deadlines and milestones in case progression.
• Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare and file court documents in compliance with local rules, both electronically and manually.
• Conduct legal research related to construction law, land use, zoning ordinances, and other regulatory issues.
• Analyze case law, statutes, and other legal materials to assist attorneys in building a strategy for litigation.
• Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Organize and review documents for production, including contracts, permits, architectural plans, and other construction-related materials.
• Assist in preparing evidence for trial, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks, preparing witness testimony, and organizing exhibits.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials, providing support as needed, such as taking notes or handling exhibits.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on construction law, land use, or real estate litigation.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, building codes, zoning regulations, and land use laws.
• Proficient in legal research, writing, and case management software.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex legal documents and issues.
• Familiarity with e-filing procedures and court rules.

Salary: $100,000-$105,000/yr.
