Job Summary:

**The candidate will be working in this role: Electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) engineering focuses on testing and troubleshooting products and systems to ensure they can function properly in their electromagnetic environment.**

The Test Engineer II-EMC Compliance will support the development testing of handheld mobile computing devices, barcode scanners, and RFID products to ensure compliance with relevant EMC standards and regulations. This role involves working closely with design teams to implement EMC best practices and troubleshoot EMC issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute EMC testing schedules and ensure timely completion of compliance activities.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and timelines.

Conduct EMC testing, including radiated and conducted emissions, immunity tests, and other relevant assessments.

Utilize EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, amplifiers and network analyzers.

Program Support:

Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate EMC considerations into product designs.

Provide technical guidance on EMC design principles, including grounding, shielding, filtering, and layout techniques.

Prepare and review documentation for EMC compliance, including test plans, test reports, and technical files.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve EMC issues through analysis and testing.

Recommend and implement improvements to EMC processes and procedures.

Qualifications& Experience:

3-5 years hands on lab environment of experience in EMC testing and compliance.

Knowledge of international EMC standards (CISPR, IEC, EN61000-4-2:11, FCC Part 15, EN 55032).

Skills:

Proficiency in using EMC test equipment and software (TDK, EMC32, TILE...)

Spectrum Analyzers. EMI Receivers, Power Meters, Amplifiers, ESD Simulators, Radiated and Conducted Immunity, EFT/Surge.

Work Environment:

Primarily based in a lab or office setting, with occasional travel to test sites or customer locations.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a keen interest in ensuring product safety and performance through compliance with EMC standards.
