A dynamic legal team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Settlement Attorney to join their firm. The Settlement Attorney will play a critical role in managing the settlement process after agreements have been reached.
This opportunity requires strong drafting and document review capabilities. As well as, exceptional legal acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of post-settlement procedures.
This opportunity is a staff attorney role (no billable hours) offering flexibility with a hybrid work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and finalize settlement agreements, releases, and related legal documents
- Manage the implementation of settlement terms
- Oversee settlements involving minors
- Manage lien issues
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients
- Work closely with litigation teams
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the settlement process
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 7+ years of experience in civil litigation.
At the time of posting the salary range for this $160,000 to $200,000 DOE. Plus a generous and robust benefits package.
