We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a mobile application development team. This role involves managing the development and enhancement of app functionalities to deliver a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring smooth communication, issue resolution, and the timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy & Coordination:
- Oversee multiple high-complexity projects within the mobile app ecosystem.
- Develop program strategies, create high-level project plans, and ensure proper project integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with engineers, product owners, and tech leads to evaluate tasks, set timelines, and identify deliverables.
- Collaborate with wireless service teams to identify user needs and enable new functionalities.
- Issue Resolution & Reporting:
- Research technical challenges and resolve issues involving software, hardware (e.g., SIM cards, firmware), and app features.
- Communicate with VPs and executives, summarizing complex technical details into actionable insights.
- Project Oversight:
- Track key project milestones, identify risks, and recommend adjustments to project scope and strategy.
- Document updates and organize information using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.
- Enhancing User Services:
- Identify and implement updates to app features to support new customer functionalities, such as spam/call filtering and service transfers.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in IT program management or technical product management.
- Strong understanding of software development and technical issue resolution, particularly in mobile apps.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge of wireless service concepts and components (e.g., SIM cards, firmware).
- Proven ability to report to executives, filter technical details, and communicate business impact.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
- Experience in reporting and managing deliverables for senior leadership.
Not Required:
- Coding, software development, SCRUM Master certification, or project management certification.
Work Environment:
- 4 days onsite with remote flexibility on Fridays, depending on schedules and meetings.
- Fast-paced environment with a quick interview process: initial phone screen followed by a group interview with the hiring manager, tech lead, and product lead.
