Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Structured Finance specializing in Distributed Generation (DG). This pivotal role will lead the structured finance team, focusing on Tax Equity and Project Finance, and will be directly involved in driving company's ambitious growth goals within the DG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Structured Finance team for Distributed Generation (DG), with direct oversight of 5-6 analysts/associates.
- Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial solutions for large-scale solar and renewable energy projects.
- Lead the structuring and financing of complex renewable energy projects, including tax equity and project finance transactions.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, including VP of Structured Finance, VP of Business Development (DG), and VP of Origination (DG), to align financial strategies with company's growth objectives.
- Support the company's goal of operating 30 GW of solar power by 2030 and 100 GW globally.
- Collaborate with a team of senior managers and analysts in utility-scale projects.
- Maintain an understanding of evolving industry trends and regulatory changes to optimize financing opportunities.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in structured finance, specifically within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in Tax Equity and Project Finance, with direct experience in Distributed Generation (DG) projects.
- Deep knowledge of financial structuring, tax equity financing, and project finance models in the energy industry.
- Must have significant experience working within DG.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, particularly managing a team of analysts and associates.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Team Structure:
- Directly manages a team of 2 Senior Managers (focused on utility-scale projects) and 5-6 analysts/associates.
- Reports to the Vice President of Structured Finance.
