Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles as they apply specifically to the manufacturing sector. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support management decision-making.
- Ensure accurate costing of products and manage inventory valuation in collaboration with production teams.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in an accounting role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and potential issues.
