About The Opportunity:

A boutique law firm is seeking a dedicated paralegal to support its team in assisting medical providers with reimbursement disputes against insurance carriers. This position plays a crucial role in advocating for patients' rights under the No Surprises Act, helping to prevent unexpected medical bills for emergency and non-emergency services from out-of-network providers.

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Managing Paralegal who oversees the Arbitration team, this role provides essential support for patient advocacy efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Payment Tracking: Accurately record and monitor medical claim payments.
• Coordination and Communication: Engage professionally with insurance companies and medical providers, ensuring prompt follow-ups.
• Email Management: Efficiently handle high-volume email correspondence to maintain organized case records.
• Document Support: Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents related to arbitration and patient advocacy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 2+ years of medical billing and medical claims experience.
• Legal industry experience preferred.
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
