Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Project Engineer to lead and manage complex engineering projects from concept through completion. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets while managing risks and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to drive project success.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned projects, addressing technical challenges and providing innovative solutions.
- Lead multiple concurrent projects including overhead transmission and substation projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV
- Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and risk assessments to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Prepare and present project status reports, timelines, and performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize project efficiency and outcomes.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and technical skills development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in project engineering or project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASME, OSHA).
