Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, is currently seeking experienced Art Teachers to fill in-person positions at K-12 private and independent schools in the Boston area and nationwide.
Teaching assignments ranging from, but are not limited to:
- Studio Art (Drawing, Painting, Printmaking)
- Sculpture
- Fiber arts
- 3D design
- Ceramics
- Architecture
Essential Duties:
- Develop and implement a curriculum and lesson plans that will foster knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned
- Create lessons that build an excitement for art
- Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making
- Evaluate each student’s progress in their knowledge and skills
- Communicate with parents to discuss the individual student’s progress
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree preferred in an art field.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experienc e at the K-12 or higher education level preferred
- Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise
- Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
- Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
- Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
- Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Work Authorization required
