Job Description

We are seeking a HR Director. The ideal candidate MUST be bilingual (Spanish/English), possess strong leadership skills, and have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. The HR Director will oversee the HR department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and fostering a service-oriented culture.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of recruiting processes, especially in healthcare.
  • Compassionate and firm, with a good grasp of HR law.
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing workforce skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a MUST.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide strong leadership to the HR team, including a deputy chief of staff, generalist, HR assistant, and recruiter. Ensure effective supervision and development of team members.
  • Healthcare Expertise: Utilize healthcare experience to understand and address the specific needs and terminologies of the field.
  • Bilingual Communication: Communicate effectively with a diverse staff and community, many of whom speak Spanish.
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee recruitment processes, including agency-screened candidates, and ensure a thorough understanding of various medical roles.
  • Cultural Fit: Promote a compassionate yet firm approach, aligning with the organization’s mission to serve the community.
  • HR Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of the HR department, provide recommendations, and align them with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Clinic Rotation: Rotate between clinics at least once a month to understand and address the needs of different locations. (all within the LA area)
  • Chiefs Meetings: Hold one-on-one meetings with chiefs to gather feedback and incorporate it into HR strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to provide updates and collaborate on HR initiatives.
  • Technology and Certification: Stay updated with technological advancements and healthcare certifications to support staff and community effectively.
