LHH has partnered with a growing company in the Tacoma area in search of a Plant Engineering Manager. This person must have experience working in a manufacturing setting and managing/developing teams. Someone that can jump in, take charge and continue to improve and develop plant operations, quality and safety.

What you will do:

• Oversee all technical aspects of a manufacturing facility, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of equipment and processes, ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead a team while managing capital projects and budgets to optimize production capabilities within the plant.
• Manage smaller projects for the company.
• Manage the PSM program and is responsible for its implementation and maintenance.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to ensure project plans will meet desired outcomes.
• Work with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Analyze and plan maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

What you need:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience.
• 5+ years of management experience. Leadership, prior management experience, smaller format department with less direct reports is a must.
• Must have experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• A drive to continue career development/growth as well as developing the team.
• Experience in data analytics.
