Job Title: Plant Engineering Manager

Position Overview:
The Plant Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of a manufacturing facility. This includes equipment design, implementation, maintenance, and process optimization to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement. The role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, overseeing capital projects, and maintaining budgets to support the facility's production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all plant assets, including capital and maintenance budgets.
- Act as the primary representative for the Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring implementation and maintenance.
- Lead and manage a team, including direct and indirect reports, ensuring operational goals and employee development.
- Develop and execute capital projects, working closely with vendors to determine specifications, procure equipment, and evaluate products.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, equipment layout, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise on plant operations and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safety compliance and drive continuous improvement through programs like Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or 5S.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 5-7 years of plant maintenance, engineering, or project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams, with a proven ability to lead and develop employees.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and PARCview.
- Experience with PSM programs and industrial safety practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or 5S, is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
