Job Title: E&C Engineer (Mechanical) Gas Turbine Installation

Location: Wheaton Township, WI (with potential travel to vendor sites and sister project in Shakopee, MN)

Project Duration: Until End of 2025 (with potential for reassignment to other projects thereafter)

Work Schedule: 6 Days a Week, 50 Hours, Overtime Provided

Position Overview:

Client is seeking an experienced E&C Engineer with a focus on Mechanical Engineering to join our project team for the installation of a new gas turbine at an active construction site in Wisconsin. This role will involve mechanical and electrical installation, working closely with manufacturing vendors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and construction contractors. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in the installation and commissioning of industrial gas turbines and experience managing contracts and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the installation and commissioning of a new industrial gas turbine.

Coordinate with manufacturing vendors, OEMs, and construction contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Resolve questions, concerns, and technical issues during the construction and installation phases.

Manage supplier agreements and assist with project timelines and cost management.

Ensure that mechanical and electrical installation processes align with project specifications and timelines.

Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing individual support as needed.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with a focus on industrial gas turbines, petrochemical, or gas projects.

Strong experience in construction and commissioning of industrial projects, particularly related to gas turbines.

Experience with GE or Siemens gas turbines is highly preferred.

Proven track record of contract management and project management.

Skills:

Proficiency with standard project management tools (Microsoft Tools, etc.).

In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially in gas turbine installation and commissioning.

Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors, contractors, and project teams.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to turbine installation.

Certification:

Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus, but not required.

Desirable Qualities:

Strong project management and contract management experience.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and timelines.

Ability to navigate and manage project schedules and resolve conflicts efficiently.
