Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the most cost-effective and target-oriented distribution of home goods to customers nationwide.
  • Create and implement distribution strategies for the USA.
  • Develop, roll out, and update distribution processes and standards for transportation companies, focusing on means of transportation, IT systems, and domestic delivery models.
  • Monitor the implementation of assigned standards, requirements, and tasks by transportation companies.
  • Ensure proper knowledge transfer to transportation companies and warehouses related to domestic distribution processes.
  • Organize regular audits of services provided by transportation companies according to defined scope and schedule; implement corrective actions resulting from the audits.
  • Collaborate with all logistics structures to optimize distribution operations and service levels to customers.
  • Partner with the Order Management and Sales departments to optimize service levels to customers; organize regular meetings with each department on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure expected service levels are being met.
  • Work closely with transportation companies to ensure expected service levels are being met.
  • Ensure cost and invoice control systems for USA distribution services according to regulations.
  • Participate in the business plan process for the freight cost group; responsible for the domestic freight cost group.
  • Regularly monitor transportation companies' performance; responsible for achieving assumed process indicators for the tasks performed.
  • Make ongoing decisions in the event of irregularities or changes in cooperation with transportation companies to ensure expected service levels.
  • Create a reporting system on domestic distribution; analyze results and propose improvement actions.
  • Participate in projects, working groups, and committees as necessary.
  • Manage and develop direct reports.
  • Ensure safe working conditions for direct reports.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Transportation, or a similar area.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a similar area.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Supervisory or Management role.
  • Knowledge of international and domestic transportation regulations.
  • Knowledge of Customs Compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities in overseeing staff and operations.
  • Travel Percentage – 30%.
