We are hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team. This role focuses on managing supplier communications, tracking production and inspection milestones, maintaining comprehensive records, and ensuring purchase order compliance. You will work closely with the Purchasing, Project Management, and Inspection teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Status Reports (MSR): Keep MSRs updated for all assigned projects.
Supplier Communication: Confirm purchase order milestones, including required submittals and documentation.
Inspection & Shipping Coordination: Reconcile inspection release notices and update MSRs with PCD or third-party inspection data.
Tariff & Purchase Order Management: Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain records.
Documentation & Invoice Management: Provide necessary documents, invoices, shipping details, and copies for client submissions.
Project Support:
- Assist Project Managers with documentation and client submissions.
- Attend project meetings, take detailed notes, and track action items to completion.
- Prepare and file unpriced purchase orders as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years in expediting, purchasing, or project coordination.
- Familiarity with purchasing systems and procedures.
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of procurement software is a plus.
