Job Title: IT Asset Clerk

Location : Cincinnati, OH onsite work (hybrid) required as is reliable transportation method to the work site NE of the downtown Cincinnati Metro Area.

Description : Under direction of the CBTS Lead Asset Manager, this position is responsible for the tracking and accounting of all Network, Voice, etc., and related assets. The IT Asset Clerk is responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle, including inventory management, analysis, reporting, service management (CMDB) records updates and local white glove/ VIP services.

Position Responsibilities:

• Process IT service requests for IT hardware and assists with the deployment to our user community, tracking hardware location changes, ensuring accurate accounting of assets.

• Processes incoming shipments of IT equipment and maintains organization of IT storage areas.

• Tracks and maintains inventory data, including serial numbers and assigned user information utilizing ServiceNow hardware asset management (HAM).

• Ensures the proper tracking of IT asset inventory levels by conducting audits and physical inventories.

• Keeps track of IT assets, the receipt and dispensing of these assets, both physically and in ServiceNow to ensure assets are accurate, auditable and available for use. Includes assisting with maintaining a hardware depot.

• Coordinates the return or local pick-up of surplus/unused IT hardware, and the disposal of retired assets in a timely manner. Includes relocating assets within the customer building.

• Prepares assets for formal disposition. Includes updating and scheduling Vender pickups, collecting certificates of destruction and updating customer records.

• Maintain a working knowledge of current ServiceNow technology HAM and trends as they relate Asset Management.

• Factory resetting, preparing hardware for break/fix and new build requests. Includes being knowledgeable of various Telephony and Network model types and working with Asset Manager to develop SOP’s.

• Coordinate and schedule shipment of hardware to various Venders (IE. Cisco RMA). Ensure delivery and communicating accordingly.

• Provide VIP/ Executive asset delivery to the Customer’s VIPs. Involves the delivery and working with Voice Engineers to install a phone and get VIP verbal sign-off. The services will be provided to the MOB, MOC and HQ.

• Deliver assets to the customer’s remote branches within 60 miles of the Customer’s HQ. Involves delivering and working with Voice Engineers to install a phone and get the customers sign-off.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications, listed below, to be considered for the vacancy.

Education :

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience :

• Three (3) to Six (6) months of experience in IT asset management and inventory management.

• Knowledge of associated equipment used (IE. Voice & Network Hardware)

• Knowledge of ServiceNow and its use.

Transportation :

• Personal vehicle for VIP and Branch delivery, plus multi-year clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and use a pallet jack (Manual and electric).

Qualifications :

• Have or be actively working toward an Advance Certificate, Associate or Bachelors degree in

Information Technology or related field.

• Experience working in a medium to large enterprise IT environment.
