Summary: The Engineering Project Manager is primarily responsible for planning, directing, executing and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager is a professional, who has working knowledge of the technical details of managing projects including human resources, project scope, time, quality, cost, risk, procurement and communication; who embraces a mindset of thorough planning and continuous improvement, who is rigorously dedicated to extraordinary quality and customer service, who continuously strive to improve communication channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs and manages project development from beginning to end.
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
Communicates openly and effectively the project expectations to team members and stakeholders timely.
Estimates the resources and human resources needed to achieve project goals.
Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Where required, negotiates with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
Determines and assesses need for additional staff and/or consultants and makes the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Plans and tracks project milestones and deliverables.
Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyzes results, and troubleshoots problem areas.
Proactively manages change in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report. Allows open dialogue in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Adheres to, reports, and enforces safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED;
Bachelor 's degree (B. S.) in Engineering;
Five years’ related experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
CAD software.
Project management software.
